What makes Whistle Pig Pines products different?

Every item is made in small batches using heritage-inspired methods, whole ingredients, and intentional design. No fillers, no shortcuts — just honest craftsmanship rooted in tradition.

Are your products natural?

Yes. We use whole botanicals, clays, tallow, beeswax, honey, and plant-based oils. No synthetic fragrances, no artificial dyes, and no harsh detergents.

Do you use fragrance oils?

No. All scents come from essential oils, infused botanicals, or the natural aroma of the ingredients themselves.

Is everything handmade?

Every product is crafted by hand — poured, blended, sewn, wrapped, and finished in-house. No outsourcing, no mass production.

Are your soaps safe for sensitive skin?

Most customers with sensitive skin do well with our formulas because they’re free of synthetic detergents and harsh additives.

How long do your soaps last?

Typically 4-6 weeks with daily use. Keeping your bar dry between uses  extends its life significantly.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we ship within the U.S. only. International shipping will be added as we scale.

How long does shipping take?

Orders typically ship within 3–5 business days. Handmade items may require additional curing or finishing time during busy seasons.

Can I return or exchange a product?

Due to the nature of handmade skincare, returns aren’t accepted. If something arrives damaged or incorrect, we’ll make it right immediately.

Are your products safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding?

Most are, but some essential oils should be avoided. Always check with your healthcare provider if you’re unsure.

How should I store my products?

Keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Natural ingredients can shift in color or texture if exposed to heat.

Do you test on animals?

Never. Our products are tested on willing humans only.

Why do you use tallow in your skincare?

Tallow mirrors the skin’s natural oils, making it exceptionally gentle and restorative. It supports the skin barrier, helps with dryness, and carries botanicals beautifully. We use it because it’s effective, traditional, and rooted in the kind of slow, intentional living our brand stands for.

Why are botanicals important in your formulas?

Botanicals are the heart of our products. They bring soothing, strengthening, and skin-supportive properties that synthetic additives simply can’t replicate. They’re also what set our formulas apart — every bar, balm, and butter carries a thoughtful blend of plant “medicine” that supports the skin naturally.

Do your botanicals change the color of the soap?

Yes — and that’s part of the beauty. We use clays, roots, petals, and honey to create warm, natural tones. No micas, no dyes, no artificial colorants. Every shade comes directly from the ingredients themselves.

Are your botanicals safe for sensitive skin?

Most people with sensitive skin do well with our botanicals because they’re whole, gentle, and minimally processed. If you’re extremely reactive, we recommend patch testing first.
